Port forwarding is required when you need to access a device or application from outside of your home network. Certain online games and/or network cameras used for remote monitoring may require that you forward the port that they are using inside the home network. The instructions below are for the Q1000 Qwest Wireless N VDSL Modem Router with QAQ01-31.00L.29 firmware. Note: There are some, preset port forwarding rules written for certain applications. Click Applications, listed under security, to see the list of preset rules. If you find the rule you need, you can disregard the instructions below.
