USB Digital Video Recorder (DVR) for Security and night vision applications

The Digital Video Recorder (DVR offeres) opposed to a superior way of processing a video signal, use the old methods, analogue techniques. The collection system is the most important difference is replaced where videotape of a digital storage device such as flash memory or hard disk. Digital data is not vulnerable to the effects of noise, crosstalk or signal coupling problems.

Once a video image, consisting of single or multiple images is stored, it is extremelyeasy to edit or add effects. In many cases, a personal computer (PC) is involved in storage and image modification process variations. Digital information (digitized incoming video) usually a PCI card, which originates in the internal backplane of the PC, or even easier through the USB (Universal Serial Bus) port.

(Video Converter), which connects to the USB port of your computer, often in the form of a small dongle. Some versions offer composite video, S-video, stereo andaudio inputs, while others offer multiple composite video inputs. The second is more suitable for applications where composite video vault is still the accepted standard.

These devices have the advantage of being in a position, their power (+5 VDC) from the USB port that put Rob.

There are several advantages to the digitization of S-video (S 'stands for separately) via a composite video signal. S-Video consists of separate channels for luminance(Y) and chrominance (C), component video (both are in synch). The luminance signal component expresses the brightness of the image (such as composite video, without color component), while the chrominance component is simply the color information. Since both S-video channels are separated, there are problems of crosstalk and the bandwidth limitations of hazardous low-pass filter. Because of these properties, S-Video playback image improved.

For security reasons andnight vision applications a reliable method of recording events is of utmost importance. The use of a DVR often offers a superior solution for capturing time-lapse images, and the date and time stamp requirements. Furthermore, because of advances in technology, it is often the most convenient solution for recording video images for long periods without deterioration in image quality.
